MORGAN BOREL

Interior Designer

Morgan Borel is from Lafayette, LA and got her Bachelor of Interior Design in 2023 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She began working in the field in 2022 and is currently working on NCDIQ and WELL, IIDA, AISD, and NEWH certifications. She joined DKN in 2023, and provides a wide range of services including visualization, interior design and assistance on Schematic Design and Construction Documents.

In her free time Morgan does weightlifting, loves cooking, playing video games, and hanging out with her two cats. When asked about her career goals, she would like to one day move abroad while continuing to work in the field.

Answer: Mais shaa (may sha) a Cajun French slang.

Question: What’s the most inspiring part of your job?
Answer: I view our job as art, we’re creating spaces that will be incorporated into someone’s daily life.

Question: When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a __________ when I grew up.
Answer: Chef.

Question: If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why?
Answer: Gnocchi, what’s better than a pasta made of potatoes!

Answer: Go backpacking across Europe.

Answer: No one is watching you, so just keep being yourself.

Answer: Involve cats.

Answer: Alfie secretly runs the office so make sure you give him lots of pets when he makes his rounds.
