Simpsonville, KY

Part of a 140 acre retail, office, R&D, logistics & manufacturing development, Building 6 is the first of Simpsonville Commons to start construction.  By working closely with the developer and the tenants, DKN designed the shell warehouse and interior buildouts. The shell building is concrete “sandwich” panel construction with insulation encapsulated between two layers of concrete. This results in a more energy efficient building and a clean interior finish. The exterior design features textural concrete formliner and wood look accents, which helps to break down the scale of the large industrial building. Each tenant had unique requirements for their space, and DKN worked with them on equipment layout, space planning and interior finishes.
