CEDAR LAKE LODGE OAKS  RENOVATION

Cedar Lake is an organization supporting people with intellectual and development disabilities in the greater Louisville area. The renovation of Cedar Lake Lodge – Oaks Building provides a welcoming, loving and safe environment for individuals. This ICF-IID space is 14,000 square foot facility with 20 resident beds.

DKN worked closely with upper management, facilities staff, and caregivers to create a space that is efficient for staff use as well as comforting to residents. The design concept centers on outreach, with spaces woven together through intentional, comforting details that reflect the practiced routines of daily life and create a true sense of home. Thoughtful choices in layout, lighting, and finish materials create a cohesive environment that supports both living and working needs.
