DARA JOHNSON

Senior Interior Designer

Dara Johnson is originally from Jeffersonville, Indiana and earned her Bachelor of Interior Design from Ball State University in 2012. She brings over a decade of professional experience to DKN and is NCIDQ and KYCID certified. Dara has worked on a range of projects, including several modern law firms where she helped reimagine traditional workspaces into environments that balance function and design. At DKN, she specializes in workplace and corporate interiors, contributing her team-oriented and open-minded approach to each project. One of her favorite projects was a multi-floor tech company headquarters that included a connecting stair. It was an exciting and challenging design that she fondly remembers for the collaboration and camaraderie among everyone involved. Dara’s career goal is “to make clients proud of their beautiful and functional space.” Outside of work, she is a proud mom of three, enjoys listening to audiobooks, and loves spending time with family and friends in the great outdoors. She also has a passion for travel, food, and live music.
